SOAVE

As its name suggests, this is a smooth and graceful wine, releasing a sensation of freshness and persistent aromatic notes. It is vinified purely in stainless steel, which balances the mineral flavours.

TASTING NOTES Medium-intense straw yellow in colour. The nose reveals distinct notes of white flowers followed by fresher jasmine flowers and a crisp and delicate citrus vein. Striking for its decisiveness, medium body and feistiness, expressed through its fresh palate.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS An ideal aperitif with caviar canapés, frog’s legs, smoked fish dishes and many other hors d’oeuvres. It enhances risotto with saffron. It pairs well with raw fish dishes, tempura, sushi and sashimi, as well as spicy and sweet and sour dishes typical of Asian cuisine. It is also a good match with fresh water fish dishes and grilled seafood and shellfish. Try it with pizza as well. Serve chilled at 8-10°C (46-50°F).

TASTING NOTES Ruby red in colour, with purplish-blue highlights; the nose exhibits fragrant fruit with prominent notes of cherries, echoed by fresher hints of pepper and aromatic herbs, typical of Corvina and Corvinone, the historic varietals of this appellation. Whilst young it is impressively lively and playful on the palate whereas some two years on it expresses greater delicacy and finesse.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS This type of Valpolicella is the perfect accompaniment to Italian antipasti, soups, pasta dishes and other dishes typical of Mediterranean cuisine. Also pairs well with roasted and grilled white meats and is ideal as a summer red to drink with fish dishes. Serve preferably at 16°C (61°F) and open the bottle shortly before drinking.

PALAZZO
DELLA TORRE

The wine is made using an innovative take on the 'ripasso' technique. Most of the grapes are vinified at harvest time, while the rest are set aside to partially dry. In January, the wine blended with the juice from the raisined grapes undergoes a second fermentation.

TASTING NOTES The vineyard surrounds Villa della Torre, a splendid masterpiece of Renaissance architecture now owned by the family, and produces a full-bodied red wine that has an ageing potential of at least ten years. The blend is the historic combination of Corvina and Rondinella with the addition of a small quantity of Sangiovese.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS This wine is a deep ruby red and easily pairs with various Italian dishes, above all risottos, especially those flavoured with saffron, porcini mushrooms and pork; classic dishes such as pasta with Amatriciana and Carbonara sauces, baked lasagna, gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese and walnuts; grilled meats and roasts.

LA GROLA

The La Grola vineyard represents, in conjunction with an ancient legend that traces birth of the Corvina varietal precisely to this magnificent hill, the ideal location for 'wine-making', and has always stood as a symbol of the Valpolicella Classico zone.

TASTING NOTES A full-bodied, intense and elegant wine. Deep ruby red in colour, it has a wide and embracing bouquet with scents of wild berries and juniper, tobacco and coffee essence. Made from Corvina Veronese, Oseleta and Syrah grapes grown in La Grola, one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area in terms both of history and position.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS It makes a perfect pairing with red meat, especially lamb. It is also delicious with stewed or grilled mushrooms and with mild, aged cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C (61-64°F) and open the bottle one hour prior to consumption. This wine can age for 10-12 years.

LA GROLA 2010
LIMITED EDITION

Thirty years have gone from the bottle n.1
of La Grola. The first vintage of this great wine was released in 1983 and marked the cultural and oenological revival of the Valpolicella.

It was the realization of Giovanni Allegrini’s dream: he was the first to grasp the extraordinary potential of a vineyard that symbolizes the quintessential identity of an entire area.

On the occasion of this anniversary, which encompasses such as important part of Allegrini’s history, the Company decided to commission Milo Manara, one of Italy’s best-loved Comic-Strip artists, to interpret La Grola and the local legends that surround it. According to the ancient legend, it was on this amazing hill that Corvina Grapes borned, thanks to the miraculous intervention of a crow ("Grola" in Veronese dialect) that made ​​the fortune of that vineyard.

LAPOJA

In 1979 when Giovanni Allegrini, inspired by brillant intuition and a profund understanding of his beloved Valpolicella, decided to plant only the Corvina Veronese varietal on the summit of the La Grola hill, perhaps even him could not have imagined the extraordinary future success of this wine.

TASTING NOTES The premium quality viticultural techniques yield grapes with great personality and maturity. After over 4 years of ageing, the wine is still extraordinarily fresh and crisp with a full spectrum of aromas ranging from fruit to spices and officinal herbs. Full bodied and luscious, with a long, lingering finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS La Poja makes an ideal accompaniment to roasted red meats and game. It is excellent with aged cheeses, and a perfect match with white or black truffles. Serve at 18°C (64°F) and open the bottle one hour before consumption. Has the potential to age for 18 years.

AMARONE
CLASSICO D.O.C.

Thanks to a profund understanding gained during years of research and experimentations, Allegrini has perfected a style of Amarone that maintains and even enhances the full potential of the grapes.

TASTING NOTES The result of the Allegrini family’s expertise, a true classic of the appellation, this red wine embraces tradition, territory and the know-how of country ways. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta are left to air dry at least until December and are checked daily to ensure perfectly healthy grapes.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS Traditionally enjoyed with game, roasted and grilled meats, casseroles and well matured cheeses. Excellent with hearty dishes. Amarone’s distinctive flavour compliments new and exotic sweet and sour dishes. It is therefore also perfect with Asian and middle-eastern dishes.

GIOVANNI
ALLEGRINI

This incredibly concentrated wine bears the name of Giovanni Allegrini, the winery's founder, who considered this his favourite wine.

TASTING NOTES While Amarone aims for perfect craftsmanship and a full, pristine range of aromas, full rein is allowed to this category of wine to express all its natural exuberance. The nose is immediately almost bursting with fruit, followed by fresh floral notes and pepper. After prolonged ageing, the wine proffers more evolved nuances of fruit preserved in alcohol and aromatic herbs.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS Traditionally this wine has been enjoyed with dry desserts, such as shortbread, cantucci (dry almond cookies), sbrisolona (a local crumb cake), however it also pairs well with dark chocolate soft cakes. Try it with strawberries and tropical fruits as well. Thanks to its outstanding roundness, it perfectly enhances some cheeses, especially a mild Gorgonzola.
